Annette Bartolina has more than 35 years of experience and training as a vocal performer and musician. Her teaching methodologies are focused on the prevention of vocal degeneration and damage, based on proven and time tested techniques used by top vocal instructors. The basis of the instruction is the development of the voice through the use of proper breath support and vocal relaxation with a primary emphasis on education and proper technique. Continuing education provides Annette with the most advanced methods and technology in voice development and health, as well as the positive effects of music on the mind, body, and spirit.
Annette is trained as an instructor of the Speech Level Singing (SLS) technique, certified through Seth Riggs. She has been a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) since 2004. She regularly attends conferences and workshops to keep current on industry developments and opportunities that might benefit her students.
In February, 2005, Annette opened Redlands Vocal Academy, a vocal instruction and performance studio in Redlands, where students worked on the development of vocal technique professional stage presence, microphone techniques. Annette’s dream began as the desire to provide a place where students could work toward a desired level of performance including preparation for a career as a professional performer, recording studio vocalist, actor, speaker or spokesmodel in nurturing and nonthreatening atmosphere; a place where a student could get a comprehensive education in vocal applications, including stage and recording experience, public speaking, and acting as well as study piano and guitar and obtain information about how to market themselves and survive in the entertainment industry.

Fees are $150 per month (based on a four week month ) or Individually $40 per half hour.
INTRO TO VOCAL BASICS: This class is designed to address the basic needs of all singers: breath, posture, stretching, and vocal warm-up exercises. Recommended for those who have little or no prior private vocal training. Students must move out of this class into a private or group class within four weeks.
Fees are $50 per month (based on a four week month ) or Individually $20 per lesson.
GROUP VOCAL LESSONS: These lessons are designed for beginning vocal students or those who wish to study in a group setting and transition into private lessons at a later date. Groups are limited to 8 students and include 30 minutes of the Intro to Vocal Basics training, 30 minutes of group song study, and training or private study with SLS instructor Annette Bartolina per month. Students are evaluated every four weeks with recommendations regarding future training.
